Where all the answers to your frequently asked questions reside.

Do you offer developmental editing?

Yes. That’s the only type of editing I offer—manuscript evaluations are the same type of editing—where I look at the big-picture elements and issues of your manuscript.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! I offer payment plans.

Do you require contracts?

Yes, I’ll prepare a contract for us once we decide to work together (after the sample edit and choosing a start date). A contract protects both of us, your manuscript, and outlines everything necessary so there’s no miscommunication.

Do you offer editing samples & quotes?

I offer both — and sample edits are strongly encouraged. I offer 10-page samples and personalized quotes for each inquiring author.

How can I determine if you are a good fit for me?

I understand that connecting with your editor is important! I offer a sample edit of your first 10 pages. From there, you can ask me any questions you’d like.

Do you have client testimonials?

Sure do. Visit here to view them.

Can I hire you to edit my book if it’s the 2nd or 3rd in a series?

Yep. There is a reading fee involved to get acquainted with the earlier books.

Do you require a deposit?

I collect a non-refundable deposit, equating to 20% of the total bill. This deposit, along with the contract, allows me to reserve your spot for editing!

What type of files do you accept?

I only accept Microsoft Word documents.

How long will it take for you to edit my book?

It’ll take me 4-6 weeks to edit your book, 6-8 weeks if your book is over 120k words. I’m often booked out months in advance, so that must be considered as a factor as well.

What genres do you work with?

I accept all fiction genres. Visit the about page to see my manuscript wishlist.

Do you offer rush editing?

Yes, I offer rush edits. Depending on the length of your book and timeline, an additional 30-50% rush charge will be added to your bill.

Please note: As of January 2024, I won’t complete a full developmental edit on a rough/first draft. But I am happy to help guide you with a manuscript evaluation.

I’m always taking inquiries for First 5k Passes and Outline Evaluations.
